Transcendence
2025 Acrylic on Canvas 50 x 50 cm (Impasto technique / Texture)
I have always felt a deep love for the hummingbird. I encountered this enchanting creature twice during my travels in South America—once in Peru, and again in Colombia. In each evanescent moment, I was completely captivated.
Its presence vibrated with such otherworldly energy—it felt as though time had paused. I was humbled by our brief meeting, as if touched by something mystical, something far beyond the ordinary. For a fleeting moment, my mind transcended its usual boundaries, and I was lifted into stillness and awe. I have longed to return to that state, though I know such moments cannot be forced.
This piece is my quiet prayer—a longing expressed through paint. If I can capture even a glimpse of transcendence, perhaps I can invite it back.
